For a classic vanilla cake, we’ll need all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, unsalted butter, sugar, eggs, whole milk, and vanilla extract. We’ll also need some baking equipment, such as mixing bowls, a whisk or electric mixer, and cake pans.
